STAFFORD Rugby Club star Charles Venables will chase a place in the England under-16 squad this weekend.
The Denstone College student turns out for the Midlands in a divisional match against London & South East, at Broadstreet RFC.
After the development weekend three sides will be selected to prepare for a programme of international matches later in the season.
The games start with a fixture against Italy, at Lichfield, on April 1.
The three squads will train at Hartpury College (Gloucestershire) from Feb 12- 14, where England u16s will play Gloucester u17s.
