THERE was an all-Stafford clash on the football front this week when Stafford Town and Brocton faced each other in a Midland Combination premier fixture at Evans Park for the first time.
As expected it was a keenly-contested affair, in front of a sizeable crowd, and it was the Badgers who took the limelight with a 3-1 victory.
The win enabled Brocton to climb up to seventh spot in the table, whereas Town, who have been enjoying a good first campaign in this league, slipped to tenth.
However, the Reds get an early opportunity to turn the tables when they visit Brocton in the return fixture this Saturday (3pm).
