SPRING has sprung at a popular attraction near Stone where families are invited to enjoy a feast of Easter treats.
The Trentham Estate’s spring/summer season began on Tuesday, meaning the estate is open every day of the week for visitors of all ages.
Hundreds of thousands of spring bulbs are already providing a vivid splash of colour in the gardens.
More magic is being provided this year by the Trentham Fairy Trail, a series of 15 sculptures dotted around the mile-long lake, woodland and garden. Eagle-eyed visitors who spot all 15 could win a Trentham Annual Ticket for their efforts.
During the Easter weekend there will be chances to swap walking for a relaxing horse-drawn carriage ride through the park, or children can have a pony ride. Carriage and pony rides will also be available April 12-13 and 26-27.
Easter egg hunters are being sought to follow clues around the gardens and claim their prize from Delicious in the Tearoom. The neighbouring Monkey Forest, which is home to 140 free-roaming Barbary Macaques, is also hosting an Egg-citing Easter Trail April 12 to 27.
Aspiring Bear Grylls can learn wilderness survival skills in the Wilderness Wood from April 18 – 21. The Wild Weekend with Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is the following weekend, April 26 - 27, when explorers can take on bug hunts, nature trails and scavenger hunts.
