BUS fares on Arriva's Stafford services are going up by 10p for adults and 5p for children from Sunday March 30.

The rises apply to single fares. Multi-journey ticket prices for the Stafford area are being frozen, though there are some prices rises on Midlands-wide day saver, child weekly saver, and four-weekly saver tickets.

The firm is also freezing its 'into town for £1' fares from Queensville and the Wagon & Horses to Stafford town centre.

Arriva MD Alex Perry explained blamed the increases on rising costs. "The price rise will allow us to continue our significant investment in new fleet and meet rising business costs," he said.
