ARTS and crafts traders can cash in on one of the town’s busiest trading days at the annual Stafford arts festival.
The event, now in its fourth year, is expected to attract thousands of revellers into the town centre next month (SEP).
The streets will be awash with colour on Saturday, September 6, with musicians, artists and dancers who will perform in the town centre.
Market Square will host music and dance alongside arts and crafts workshops, with musicians playing at venues across town including the Swan Hotel and the Guildhall Shopping Centre.
Acts include Stafford Operatic Society – the town’s largest musical theatre group, Art Brasil – a pulsating performance of Brazilian percussion, song and dance, and talented local folk singer Dean Lane.
Stafford Indoor Market will also be celebrating a silver anniversary with a 1980s-themed fun day on the same date.
The festival is a collaboration between Stafford Town Centre Partnership and the borough and county councils.
This year organisers are keen to attract local arts and crafts traders who may be interested in running one of the 12 available stalls which will be under marquees along Greengate Street.
