STAFFORD Grammar schoolgirls celebrated a hat-trick of regional titles when they clinched the Independent Schools Association (ISA) Midland rounders tournament in Leicstershire.
The group of year eight (under-13) girls added their latest achievement to their hockey and netball crowns picked up earlier in the year.
They showed their sporting prowess when they won their group at the rounders championships at Dixie Grammar, before seeing off Moffats in the semi-final.
Stafford Grammar School ran out as 5.5-1 winners in the final against Cannock’s Chase Grammar to earn the treble.
Lynda McConville, head of girls PE said: “I’m really delighted, they’ve worked hard during lessons and training and deserve their success.
"To my knowledge this is the first time a year group at the school has achieved the ISA regional treble across three sports,”
Meanwhile their rounders triumph was matched by Stafford Preparatory School who lifted the under-11 Midlands crown at the same venue, in a contest involving eight schools.
The Stafford outfit defeated Lincolnshire-based Grantham Prep in the final to lift the silverware.
