Stafford MP Jeremy Lefroy is calling for a big turn-out for tonight’s public Care Quality Commission event when local people are being asked to tell the inspectors about their experiences of hospital care.
The Public Listening Event is being held tonight, Monday June 30, from 6.30pm to 8pm at The Kingston Centre, Fairway, Stafford, where members of the public can talk to CQC inspectors about their recent experiences of care and what improvements need to be made.
Mr Lefroy commented: “It is vital that as many people as possible attend tonight’s event. I hear regularly from constituents who have received excellent care at Stafford Hospital. I pass all of these experiences on, however, it would be even better if the CQC heard it directly from those people affected.
“Since the announcement of the inspection, I have been in contact with the CQC and have made it clear that the service provision agreed by the Secretary of State for Stafford must not be affected. However, I will continue to make it clear that Stafford needs a full time A & E service, consultant led maternity and children’s service.”
