STAFFORD Hospital is launching a recruitment drive in partnership with the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.
The hospital is inviting “reliable and committed” nurses who are “passionate” about delivering high standards of patient care to a recruitment event at the Post Graduate Centre at Stafford Hospital on September 15 from 10am-3pm.
Helen Inwood, deputy director of nursing, said: ‘These vacancies are fantastic opportunities for nurses to come and help us to integrate care across Stafford and Stoke for the benefit of all our patients.
“We need to focus on ensuring that plans for supporting the extra patients that we always see over the winter period are in place. Recruiting extra nurses at this time will help us achieve this and will give us the opportunity to prepare the additional staff prior to the extra beds being created.”
She said the nurses would have specialist training and professional development and could also get involved in research programmes.
“The integrated services will provide additional training opportunities – working closely with two local universities, and courses will be developed to match the needs of the staff and local population we serve,” Ms Inwood said.
A variety of permanent ,fixed term and bank vacancies for registered nurses and newly qualified student nurses are available as well as unregistered health care support roles.
Nurses unable to attend the event can apply through NHS Jobs (www.nhs.jobs.uk) or call 01785 887696.
