STAFFORD Hospital’s trust will be put into special administration by health watchdog Monitor.

The decision was taken at the watchdog’s board meeting yesterday and means the trust will be dissolved.

The administrator will have 150 days to decide which services will remain at Stafford and Cannock Hospitals.

Included in that will be 30 days public consultation.

Please remember Monitor is not a "HEALTH WATCHDOG" it is a very expensive and the countries largest government Quango who's role in life is to enforce the NHS BILL but for the NHS BILL they would not exist. So no surprise that they are HAPPY to enact the new powers in the bill to put one of the best performing hospital in the region into administration, WHY? because in their own report it says the hospital is not in a position to MAKE CASH so call me old fashioned but the NHS was not designed to make cash. It is a Conservative BILL, that has allowed this to happen and the people of Stafford need to remember that the County Council, ALL our local MP's, the Borough Council ALL welcomed this bill which has led to this step, without the bill it COULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED
