STAFFORD Lions Club have launched a campaign to prove every penny makes a difference in helping communities.

The Lions Club is giving away cards with a penny attached with the message that they will make it count.

Every penny raised by the 17,000 members of Lions Clubs goes to good causes such as food collection schemes, Katherine House Hospice, Marie Curie Cancer Care and even someone who just needs a new wheelchair.

Digby Gould, president of Stafford Lions Club, said: “We’re giving away pennies to get across how money generously donate to Lions Clubs adds up to make a real difference. With no admin costs deducted, we’re able to make the additional money we raise really count with the good causes we support locally.
