STAFFORD Town Dragons disabled squads got their season up and running this week.
The under-13s took part in their first tournament at Aston Villa and although they were on the receiving end each time, they gave a good account of themselves.
Dragons opened with a 5-0 defeat against a storng Villa side, before Lewis Clenton netted their only goal in a 5-1 reverse at the hands of Kewford.
In the return games, the Dragons showed improvement, slipping to a 2-0 defeat against Villa, while losing 3-0 to Kewford.
The Dragons then took in three friendly matches and Clenton emerged the goalscoring hero.
He struck no fewer than five goals as Dragons lost 4-2 to Villa, drew 1-1 with Kewford, before regikstering their first win against Kewford 3-1.
