STAFFORD Town Puma’s Joe Pettit scored a late winner as the under-11’s beat Stafford Falcons 4-3 after coming from behind twice.
Falcons were in good form coming into the encounter winning their last two games, scoring 15 goals and conceeding none.
The table toppers were 1-0 up at the break until Danny Miles put the Pumas level but the leaders were soon back in front until Miles passed the ball into Dan Kelly to equal the game at 2-2.
After 50 minutes the Pumas then took the lead for the first time when Pettit attacked down the right and played in Kelly who passed it out left to Andrew Dring who drove forward and scored.
Too busy celebrating the Falcons equalise to make it 3-3, then with seven minutes on the clock Pettit ran down the right and hit an incredible shot to make it 4-3 which they held on to.
Stafford Town Tigresses under-11’s fell down 3-0 to last season’s league and cup holders Wyrley Pumas with Tigresses goalkeeper Bethany Taylor taking the player of match award.
