VISITORS to a Stafford beauty spot can get even closer to nature this weekend thanks to wildlife experts.
Staffordshire Wildlife Trust is hosting a free Wildlife Watching Day this Saturday (August 23) at its Wolseley Centre HQ from 10am to 4pm.
Staff from the nature conservation charity will be on hand with telescopes to guide visitors through the residents of the 26-acre site.
Cathy Taylor, visitor experience co-ordinator at the Trust, said: "The grounds of our Wolseley Centre HQ are full of a range of amazing wildlife including birds, insects and small mammals. During the day everybody can have a go on our telescopes to see what they can spot over the lakes and rivers.
"We want to open as many people's eyes as possible to the amazing creatures that live on their doorsteps, as well as how to care for them."
The popular visitor centre, which is free to visit, is home to a range of wildlife including kingfishes, otters and a range of butterflies.
