AN ANGRY Stafford resident has hit out at lazy people who have been contributing to a growing pile of rubbish and flytipping.

Rubbish and household items are being dumped next to a clothing collection bin on the car park near the Spar shop and Oxleathers pub at Sundown Drive.

Fred Cryer, of Lilleshall Way, says the rubbish pile has been growing over the past few weeks.

“It’s a growing pile of general rubbish that people cannot be bothered to recycle. It’s not that difficult to separate the stuff. They’re dumping it out of idleness.

“I reported it to the council some time ago too.”

William Conaghan, press manager for Stafford Borough Council, said: “This fly tipping is on private land.

“We will be contacting the land owner to clear it. If it is not cleared, they can be fined, or we will remove the rubbish and send them the bill.”
