Stafford pensioner dies after being involved in a collision with a car

A PEDESTRIAN who was rushed to hospital after a collision with a car in Stafford has died.

The 74-year-old man has been named as Robin Parsons, of Fair Oak Avenue in Stafford.

His family are aware and specially-trained officers are offering them support.

The collision happened at around 1.20am on December 7 in Stone Road and involved a silver Citroen Saxo.

The driver of the Saxo, a 23-year-old man from Stafford, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and remains on bail pending further inquiries.
