FORMER pupils from a Stafford school are taking a trip back in time on Saturday with a grand reunion.
Walton High School, Walton-on-the-Hill, is welcoming the pupils from the first few years after the school opened its doors in 1967 for an evening of swapping memories on Saturday, June 7.
The evening runs 7pm-11pm, with entertainment and a bar, and admission is £5 on the door.
The event is open to anyone in the 50-plus age group who started at the school between 1967, when it opened as Stafford's first comprehensive school, and 1975.
Organisers are also asking guests to bring along old photographs of their schooldays, or to email them in advance to chairman of governors Ben Rowell, at email@example.com for a display on the night.
"We are hoping for a really good turn-out and it will be a very special occasion," said Gill Ashton (nee Barnes), from Brocton.
