MORE than 100 soldiers will take part in a service to commemorate the centenary of the outbreak of World War One.

The half-hour service will take place at Beacon Barracks Church, Stafford, at 10.30pm on Monday.

It is one of several such services taking place across the country and in Belgium. Other events in the West Midlands will take place in Shrewsbury, Birmingham, Lichfield and Worcester, all part of the 143 (West Midlands) Brigade area.
