ROTARY CLUB: In the absence due to holidays of the stewards at the Cob Club in Stafford the members enjoyed fish and chips bought in from the local chippie.

On Sunday February 16 the club celebrates the 90th anniversary of its charter at the Chase Golf Club, Cannock. Over 100 people have booked their placed including past members and dignitaries from far and wide including the RIBI National president and the Mayor of Stafford. www.staffordrotary.org.uk


METHODIST CHURCH: There will be a Pastoral Morning on Saturday February 1 in the church hall from 10 am until 12 noon. Open to anyone - pastoral visitors and anyone who has an interest in the pastoral life of the church. The Splash group of Sunday Club are looking for a volunteer leader once a month from February. The children are aged 4 years to 7 years. Support and training available. Anyone interested should speak to Rob or Ruth.

A parishioner who attends St John’s church in Harbourne is looking for someone in this area who has a spare room they are willing to make available to her for six months starting in March. Kate Shelley is a trainee paediatrician who has been allocated a six month rotation at Stafford hospital. Her request can be viewed on the notice board or contact kateshelley@icloud.com . Parishioners can join a five mile walk on Saturday starting from the Four Alls at Tyrley near Market Drayton. The walk is mainly flat with few styles. Meet at the church at 9.15am. WI: Members meet at the village hall on Wednesday at 7.15pm when the evenings guest will be Mr Richard Simkin from Essington Fruit Farm.
