STAFFORDSHIRE police chief Matthew Ellis will hold top level talks about fears more Eastern European immigrants will come to the county.

He will express his concerns to Home Secretary to Theresa May as new figures reveal more Romanians were arrested by county cops over a three and a half year period than any other foreign nationals.

From tomorrow new laws will allow more Romanians and Bulgarians to come to Britain to live and work.

Some 981 Romanians were arrested in Staffordshire between April 2010 and September 2013, ahead of 967 Poles and 636 Lithuanian nationals.
