STAFFORDSHIRE’S police tsar will hold a live webchat tonight to give the public a chance to question him about his policing policies and priorities.

Police and Crime Commissioner Matthew Ellis is hitting the internet for the ‘Let’s Talk’ event tonight between 5-7pm and he hopes it will be the first in a series of opportunities for him to engage with the public.

“My ambition is for Staffordshire to be the most transparent force in the country,” he said. “This is a great opportunity to be open and accessible.”

He said he wanted people from across the county to get involved, asking questions or just following the conversation.

The event will be hosted here live.

In His role as a County Councillor he advocated that heath services needed to be taken away from the centralized expensive Hospital centres and placed in the community even if this meant undermining the financial viability of the Hospital. Now as PCC he has jumped in the air and turned completely around and is happy to close many of the community based police services and centralize them in regional centres, to enable his to cut services, people and costs. Its easy to look efficient if all you do is cut services. Weve heard all his spin, drug raids and nice rhetoric, now he will be held to account for his decisions, LETS SEE HOW MANY TIMES HE BLAMES EVERYONE ELSE WHEN THINGS GO WRONG.

Does Mr Ellis mean that the police will be so thin on the ground that the force will be transparent

What did you think of Richard Littlejohn's article where he was hyper insensitive towards the Xmas day M6 crash victims and hyper critical of police officers (and other emergency staff) for closing the motorway for so long? I wrote about it here: http://ajustfuture.blogspot.co.uk/2012/12/we-have-problem-houston.html
