A PAIR of Staffordshire golfers achieved a rare feat when they each scored a hole-in-one during a monthly medal … while playing together.
Geoffrey Sale, of Abbots Bromley, and Andrew Darling, of Bramshall, are both members of Kingstone’s Manor Golf Club.
First up was 22-handicapper Mr Sale, 71, who aced the 165-yard, par-three second hole. Before he and his playing partner had finished celebrating, eight-handicapper Mr Darling, 61, from Bramshall, holed out on the 188-yard, par-three fifth, to cap an astonishing first five holes.
As a reward they each received a luxury watch as part of a club competition running this year and open to any golfer whose club uses HowDidiDo – a free-to-use, web-based social network for golfers. Anybody playing in official club competitions is also eligible.
