A RECORD number of visitors was logged at Staffordshire Wildlife Trust’s Wolseley Centre headquarters over Easter.
Nearly 2,000 people visited the gift shop over the bank holiday. Figures for the 26-acre estate were thought to be higher but are not monitored.
Some 550 children took part in the Easter egg trail while more than 50 took part in the pod dipping sessions.
Cathy Taylor, visitor experience coordinator at the trust said, "We were delighted that so many people of all ages were able to enjoy the Easter sunshine, and our new features including our bird hide, at the Wolseley Centre. These record-breaking figures are also great news for local wildlife, as more people than ever are connecting with and learning about nature and how to care and look after it."
