A STAFFORDSHIRE teenager battling cancer has raised more than £1million for charity.

In a moving post on his Facebook page, Stephen’s Story, yesterday the 19-year-old from Burntwood said: “It's a final thumbs up from me! I've done well to blag things as well as I have up till now, but unfortunately I think this is just one hurdle too far.

“It's a shame the end has come so suddenly- there's so many people I haven't got round to properly thank or say goodbye too. Apologies for that.”

He was diagnosed with colorectal cancer when he was 15 and last year doctors said it was inoperable, prompting him to compile a bucket list of 46 things he wanted to achieve. The £1million target for the Teenage Cancer Trust was among them. It was boosted by celebrities including comedian Jason Manford who spread the word on social media sites.
