SCOUTS, CUBS AND BEAVERS: A Beetle Drive and Bingo evening with a Fish and Chip supper will be held on Tuesday, March 11 at 7.30pm. Tickets will be on sale from leaders and committee members from Monday, February 24. The Annual Meeting of the group will also be held that night. All parents of current members are welcome and also any adults who are interested in Scouting and would like to support the group.
VOLUNTEERS REQUIRED: Stoke on Trent Food Bank Is holding a Food Drive on Saturday, February 22 at Tesco Longton. A food Drive is an event where we ask shoppers to buy an extra item of food to donate to Stoke-on-Trent Food Bank. Items donated are then given out in food parcels to people/families who are in a time of crisis. If you can spare an hour or two, please come along to help by handing out shopping lists, collecting food donated and helping to date and pack food. Come along and make a difference in 2014. Every hand helps.
COFFEE MORNING: This will take place on Friday, February 28 from 10.am - 12 noon, in the
Methodist Church Hall. We look forward to welcoming you to the monthly coffee morning.
There will be various stalls, including bric à brac, cakes, gifts, books, raffle and refreshments.
The charity we are supporting this month is the Peter Pan Nursery for Children with Special Needs.
Please come and join us, everyone is welcome.
FAMILY QUIZ AND CURRY NIGHT: This will take place on Friday, February 28 at 7pm in the Village Hall. It will be a great family night out with a Fun quiz and Children's quiz. A Curry and Rice supper will be served during the evening and there will also be a Bar. Tickets: Adults £7.50, Children £3.50 and Family (2+2) £20.

FVG MEETINGS -These take place on the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 8pm in the Shoulder. Fulford Village Group has grown in numbers (welcome and thank you to those who have joined in) but as always it is still important to reiterate that these meetings are open to anyone and

JUMBLE SALE: This will take place in the Village Hall at 2pm on Saturday. All proceeds will go to-wards the Village Christmas Party. If you have jumble to donate, please bring it to the Hall in the morning.
GREEN LEA FIRST SCHOOL: Several clubs start next week. Mad Science will start on Monday February 24, Craft club starts on Wednesday February 26, as does Swimming for class 2. Please ensure your child does not forget their kit.
WW1 CENTENARY: Sandon intends to commemorate the anniversary of the beginning of WW1 or the Great War, as it is often known, by holding an exhibition of WW1 artefacts and memorabilia from the time, as well as stories of those who took part in the war, in the Parish Room. The exhibition will be open from 2 - 4 August. Robert Selby (01889 508454) and John Pink (01785 243790) are collating the exhibition and would be grateful for any heirlooms or stories passed down from the war. Volunteers will also be required to arrange and man the exhibition, including overnight security. Please let Robert or John know if you can help.
