ST JOHN’S CHURCH: Are holding their monthly coffee morning on Saturday morning in the Guide Headquarters on Westbridge Park from 10am until 12noon.

WALTON COMMUNITY CENTRE: Are holding a fashion show and clothes sale from SOS Charity Fashions Shows in Walton Community Centre on Saturday May 24 at 7.30pm. Tickets are £6 including a glass of wine, contact 01785 811653. The clothes are major high street brands such as Topshop, Next, Monsoon, Laura Ashley, Wallis, River Island, Evans, Gap, French and Italian Wear, and others.

AGE CONCERN, STONE AND DISTRICT: Coffee mornings in the Coffee Lounge in Station Road on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9.45am until 11.15am. Lunch Club is on Thursdays at Bromfield Court from 11.45am until 1.30pm. Every fortnight a group travels to different local pubs for lunch. To book either, contact 01785 817906.

ALZHEIMER’S DROP IN CLUB: The aim is to provide an informal setting so that carers and people with dementia can make contact with others in the same boat. Alzheimer patients and their carers are welcome for coffee, chat and social activities. They meet at Christ Church centre every Thursday, 10am until 12noon. STONE LIONS 'FOLLOW YOUR DREAM': On Tuesday June 3, Stone Lions are hosting an evening at Sandon Hall, near Stone, to raise funds for the Cannock-based charity Newlife. Diana Scott MBE will be demonstrating the art of floral decoration, with the theme 'Follow your Dream', and there will also be a selection of quality fashion accessories offered for sale at bargain prices. Tickets cost £10 (to include a glass of wine) and are available from Chris Handley on 01785 812027.

STONE STROKE CLUB: Meet at Little Stoke Cricket Club, Uttoxeter Road, on Wednesdays from 10.30am until 2.30pm. Lunch is provided as is transport if required. Activities take place such as games, quizzes andrecreational exercises. There are outings in the summer and speakers during the winter. Contact Stella Winsor, 01785 603707.

WALTON FRIENDSHIP CLUB: Meets on Mondays from 2.00pm until 3,30pm except on the second Monday in the month. Join in for a game of Bingo and chat. There is a sales table and raffle. The cost is £1 per week including refreshments.

STONE RECORDED MUSIC SOCIETY: Meets at Walton Community Centre at 7.30pm in the building at the rear of the Community Centre. The AGM is on May 23 and the music will be members’choice.

WALKWISE WALKING FOR HEALTH IN STONE: A number of led walks take place each week and are tailored to the ability of the walkers. The walks take place on Tuesdays and on alternate weeks there is a car share to Wildlife Trust sites and local nature reserves.
