They hope to recruit a few more people to help run the coffee mornings on Tuesdays and Friday mornings. This involves making coffee and chatting to lovely people from 9.45am until 11.15am. Volunteers are also needed to fill the gaps in the office on Wednesday and Friday mornings for general office duties. Experience in office work would be an advantage. Please contact 01785 817906.

AGE CONCERN LUNCH CLUB: is held at Bromfield Court on Thursdays from 11.45 until 1.30pm. Also on alternate Tuesdays a group visit various local pubs for lunch. To book either contact 01785 817906.

WALTON FRIENDSHIP CLUB: meets every Monday from 2pm until 3.30pm except the second Monday in the month at Walton Community Centre. Join in a game of Bingo or social chat, there is a sales table and a raffle. The cost is £1 per week including refreshments. There is also the Drop In on Monday and Wednesday morning from 10.30am until 1pm for tea, coffee, toast, all at 30p an item.

U3A STROLLERS: The next event is Wednesday June 25 the distance is 3 miles and the going is described as hard. The area is Fulford/Shoulder of Mutton please note there are eleven stiles. It is the individuals responsibility to ensure they are fit and able to undertake the scheduled walk. Contact 01785 818178.

BLUE DIAMONDS SQUARE DANCE CLUB: They meet on Thursdays at 8pm upstairs in St Dominic’s Social Club Station Road. Admission is free to prospective members, this activity is fun, a little challenging and is good exercise. Further details from Nigel or Alison 01785 811876

EX SERVICES BOWLING MATCH v TOWN COUNCILLERS: The yearly match takes place in Stonefield Park on Monday at 6pm. After the match the players enjoy refreshments at Langtrys Pub.

STONE LIBRARY: During June there is a mixed media Art Exhibition on display by Brian Coughlan. During term time Baby Bounce and Rhyme is held on Monday mornings from 10.30am until 11am. for 0-3 year olds.

ST JOHN’S METHODIST CHURCH: On Saturday morning in the Guide Head Quarters on Westbridge Park from 10am until 12noon is the monthly coffee morning. There is a sales table as well as refreshments and the profits are used for Church Funds and mission. The Church services are held in Walton Priory Middle School on Sunday morning and evening. TUNEFUL TOTS: This group has been running for over 9 years, it is volunteer run for babies and toddlers and the singing sessions are on Wednesday mornings. There are two sessions 9.30am and 10.30am the cost is £1.50 per family and includes drinks fruit and biscuits.
