BEER enthusiasts are invited on a brewery tour with a Father's Day theme in aid of charity.

Stone's Lymestone Brewery is hosting the tour on Friday, June 27 to raise money for the Staffordshire-based Alice Charity, which helps families in poverty.

The tour starts at 8pm, and includes a steak and ale stew meal, or vegetarian alternative. Tickets are £13 each, including food and drink.

The charity's fundraising and marketing manager Becky Fairclough commented: "We had a fantastic response to a Mother's Day prize draw, but we didn't want the dads to feel left out, so we thought the brewery tour would make the perfect Father's Day present."

Brewery owner Ian Bradford added: "We love putting on events like this for local charities and community groups. It's a great way of helping raise money for Alice Charity and it also helps to build stronger ties with the local community."

Tour tickets can be booked via Becky Fairclough on 01782 627017.
