Kieran McColl died tragically aged just 21 earlier this year, after accidentally falling into the Trent and Mersey canal near his home in Thomas Avenue, Stone. He had been on his way home from the funeral and wake for his pal Connan McLeod.
Kieran, a popular young man who was well known in the Stone area, suffered from a mild form of epilepsy, and his family and friends are aiming to raise £10,000 for the charity in his memory.
The Lol4Lally campaign, organised by family friend Sharon Turner, is holding a series of fund-raising events through the summer. Groups of friends have already completed the Three Peaks challenge and organised a fund-raising car wash, while a 'Full Monty' evening and a family fun day are planed for later in the summer.
