STONE footballer Joshua Williams made his international under-15 debut for Wales in a two match series against Poland.
The Welsh-born Stafford Grammar School student was called-up for the second tie at the Deeside Stadium, home to GAP Connah’s Quay FC.
Wales trailed 1-0 at half time and full-back Williams was introduced off the bench and put in a solid display on the left flank, but the Welsh outfit were unable to overturn the deficit.
"I was just itching to get on and do my best for the team. This experience has just made me want to work even harder as a footballer, knowing the intense competition for places," said Williams.
The 14-year-old Aston Villa Academy youngster earned selection to the Welsh under-15 development squad of 30 last September.
He was among 22 players named for the recent international double header with Poland.
