Stone Ladies third team were on the receiving end on Saturday, crashing 7-1 against Tamworth thirds in the Staffs Ladies League division three.
The Enson Lane side were given a lesson in the importance of team discipline, basic stick skills and accurate passing by a more experienced, top of the table side.
Stone were under pressure from the start and soon found themselves trailing 4-0, despite some good clearances by Deb Bleakley, Sue Gallow, keeper Nat Ward and the returning Julie Wilde, back after a spell with the seconds.
After reorganising their formation, Zoe Trimm stepped up to the challenge of playing in the middle for Stone, with Anna Humphries moving to left midfield.
As a result, Stone netted their only goal through Emma Hall, before Tamworth struck again with three further goals to put the issue beyond all doubt.
