STONE Master Marathoners are to re-run the Flying Fox Marathon later this year.

On May 25, the local club will commemorate the 20th anniversary since the race was last staged.

The event will be raising money for three charities, The Gingerbread Centre for homeless families, Douglas Macmillan and Katharine House hospices.

The course, officially measured and run under UK Athletics rules. starts and finishes in Knighton and is a single lap circuit through quiet country lanes in Staffordshire and “a little bit of Shropshire” with some fantastic views of the Welsh mountains en route.
