STONE truck racer Dave Jenkins continued his British Championship search with a string of fine results at round six of the series held at Snetterton.
Driving his distinctive “MAN” in black truck , Jenkins was in the mix in every race and finished with two second place finishes, two thirds and a fourth to keep himself in the challenge for the Championship.
The Digraph Transport Supplies sponsored Jenkins Motorsport team came closest to victory in race four when coming into the last corner Jenkins and Rick Collett who side by side with Collett just edging out the Stone racer.
Jenkins said: “As far as racing goes that is almost as good as it gets, there’s little to chose between the top five trucks and the key to success is consistent performances.
“At one time or another I passed each of the other four drivers, I also led for a time in two of the races and was a grille width from winning in race four.
“I’ve got to be pleased with that.”
All the teams now have a break until the penultimate round which will be held at Pembrey, South Wales in October.
