A YOUNG footballer from Stone has shown great form this season - and his talent has attracted the attention of Premier club Stoke City.

Dylan Scott has been a member of the league-winning Stone Dominoes Yellow side this term, the squad having been together for two years.

The talented young midfield player, a pupil at Pirehill First School, has been signed by the Britannia club, having also trained with Manchester United for over a year and other league clubs.

Having agreed to sign for Stoke, Dylan is following in the footsteps of current City player Andy Wilkinson who also started out with the Dominoes and went to the same Pirehill school as Dylan, as the youngster pointed out to the City defender when they met on signing day.

“Dave has worked hard with the team and Dylan would not be where he is without his help,” said proud mum Laura Scott, who lives in the Cherryfields area of Stone.
