IT WAS great to see so many fans, supporters, sponsors, shareholders and volunteers turn out for the much anticipated Q&A evening in the social club last week, writes Stafford Rangers commercial manager Stuart Maun.
From the feedback received after the event, the evening was certainly a success, and everyone now understands the position the club are in a lot more.
The questions raised were all answered honestly and in detail by the board and Andy (Mutch). The club hope now that this information manages to feed its way to those that were not available to attend for one reason or another.
The club have received new sponsorship again this week. Many will have heard about Stafford Audi last week, but we have also now arranged new advertising with Midlands Co-op Funeral Care. I have also had two conversations with other companies this week, that look promising for the New Year. I will keep you posted on the progress of these.
The club is also offering a special half-way point season ticket offer. This gives a reduced price for the remaining home games of the season (£99 adults) a total of 11 games. These can be purchased this weekend from Marston Road before the match. I will be at the club from mid-morning for anyone wishing to take advantage of this offer.
Last weekend we visited a very blustery Barwell in Leicestershire. It was another very disappointing performance, which saw the team lose 2-0. The only positive on the day was that I didn’t need to leave home until just after 1pm and was home by ten past five! An absolute luxury for me.
Don’t forget we are at home on Saturday (Dec 21) when we host Whitby Town at Marston Road. It will be great to welcome the (Stan) Robinson Family as our guests to the game.. As always, the club are most grateful for the commitment and continued support Flo, Pauline and Mark have shown to the Club.
This is my final article now until the New Year, so I would like to take this opportunity to wish all Newsletter readers, and everyone connected with Stafford Rangers FC, a wonderful Christmas period and a very prosperous New Year. Hopefully 2014 will bring some better luck on the pitch for the Rangers. Up the Boro!
