A 19-YEAR-OLD man has been killed in a road collsion near Eccleshall.
The teenager, who was named this afternoon as Callum Haskew of Daventry, Northamptonshire, was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision, which happened at 4.30pm yesterday on the B5405 Great Bridgeford to Woodseaves Road at Lawnhead.
He was a passenger in a black Vauxhall Agila which was in collision with a blue Toyota Avensis.
His family is being supported by specially trained officers, a Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said.
The driver of the Vauxhall, a 19-year-old woman from the Newport area of Shropshire, was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital.
She is in a stable condition.
The driver of the Toyota, a 57-year-old man from Sheffield, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Stafford Hospital for treatment. He was discharged later the same evening.
The road remained closed until around 8.45pm while police carried out an investigation at the scene.
Witnesses are being asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 464 of February 20.
