A PLUCKY Gnosall pub worker who had never flown on a plane had a first flight to remember.
The sky’s no longer the limit for 20-year-old Bryony Baker, who went skydiving last week to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, a charity supported by her workplace, The Royal Oak.
Brave Bryony, who lives in Stafford, was encouraged to take on the daredevil challenge by customers and colleagues after she told them she had never been on a plane journey.
Her pre-flight nerves evaporated however when the big moment came in Whitchurch, Shropshire, she said, and she enjoyed the dive so much she wants to go up again.
“When I went up I was not at all scared. The dive was magnificent, it was just like looking down on a child’s play mat,” she said.
“I set myself a fundraising target of £1,000, but so far I have £1,300 and cash is still coming in. A lot of people have been helping me, it’s amazing.”
Donations can still be made at Bryony’s fund-raising page, http://www.justgiving.com/Bryonyskydive.
