The annual Christmas Tree Festival opened tonight at St Mary's Church in Stafford.
Featuring trees decorated and sponsored by local businesses, schools and community groups, the event runs until the 10th December.
Stafford Borough Mayor, Councillor Bryan Cross MBE and Mayoress Lily Cross officially opened the festival, aided by town crier Peter Taunton.
Refreshments are available with local choirs and musical groups performing regularly to add further Christmas sparkle to the festival.
The church looks beautiful and even Ebeneezer Scrooge would be hard pressed not to get into the Christmas spirit after paying the festival a visit.
