Whether you’re in need of a soothing mid-Christmas shopping treat, or something a little different to sip on this party season, it seems The Swan Hotel is the place to be.
The Swan is entering into the Christmas spirit with its fabulously festive cocktail menu, with over 40 drinks to choose from. The Winter Warmers range has traditional favourites like Mulled Wine, Hot Buttered Rum and Rekorderlig Winter Cider, whilst the Festive Specials menu gives these classic cocktails a new twist. Fantastically named treats such as the Tinsel Bellini, the Snowflake Martini and the Winter Collins are all waiting to be sampled.
The Swan is lucky enough to have its very own cocktail expert on hand. The menu was put together by Lee Taylor who has meticulously researched and tweaked a range of recipes. We popped down to The Swan on a chilly winter’s day and Lee whipped up a Blazing Toddy – which, impressively lives up to its name in the most literal sense. The deliciously warming end result of this fiery recipe is Christmas in a Brandy glass – sure to chase the winter blues away. Check out the video of this cocktail in action below:
After being wowed by Lee’s expert cocktail skills, Yaz had a go at making one herself. The Amareko Sour is a more refreshing cocktail, perfect for all those Christmas parties. Check out Yaz’s efforts in the video below (not quite as smooth as Lee).
