Village butchers shop near Rugeley targeted by burglars

BURGLARS forced their way into a village butchers shop near Rugeley.

The pair struck at the butchers on Bagot Street, Abbots Bromley, at around 2.30am on Wednesday.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “Two offenders forced open a side door to get into the butchers. It is believed the offenders were disturbed and they fled the scene empty-handed.

“One of the offenders was wearing a grey hooded top and the other a cap.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Richard Barnhouse on 101 quoting incident number 45 of August 27, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
