VOTES have flooded in for the amazing children nominated to win a Newsletter/Stafford College Children of Courage award.

We asked people to nominate any special children who deserved recognition and their inspirational stories have captured the hearts of readers.

People have been voting on our website at www.staffordshirenewsletter.co.uk.

Voting has now closed and the winners will be announced soon.

The nominees were Oliver Taylor, 14, who has fought his way back to health after a brain tumour, Hannah Taylor, 13, who helps her deaf parents, and baby Sophia Faith Colley, born with life-threatening genetic condition Edwards Syndrome, who are all from Stafford. The other nominees were Mille Cope, seven, from Rugeley, who has endured years of surgery and has walked for the first time after being born with spina bifida, and toddler Leo Keates, two, from Uttoxeter, who remains cheerful despite coping with spina bifida.
