FOUR Walton High School pupils had a way with words when they represented the school in the regional final of the German Spelling Bee competition in Birmingham.
Some 61,000 students from 500 schools across the country entered the Routes into Languages Foreign Language Spelling Bee.
And Walton High School's team of Year 7 pupils came second overall with Ellie Cartwright, coming fifth and Alex Krinyak coming fourth in the individual rounds. Students Hannah Cottiss and Eleanor Williams also participated.
Alex Krinyak now goes forward to the National Finals in July which will be held in Cambridge.
