Wedding couple get help when Stafford Land Rover steps in at the 11th hour to provide transport

A COUPLE facing a disastrous wedding day when their car failed to turn up turned to a Stafford business to get them to the church on time.

Tom and Gemma Groom were in a panic after being let down at the last minute by the company supplying wedding transport to them and their guests

Chris Brown, who runs Blithfield Lakeside Barns where the wedding party were staying, contacted Stafford Land Rover, where she is a regular customer.

Darren Poole, dealer principal at Stafford Land Rover, said: ““I received a call from Chris wanting to know if we rented cars out. Now we don’t rent out cars but there was no way I could let that Bride’s day be spoilt. I promised Chris we would help and then tasked Adam Smith, our service adviser to come to the rescue.”

Adam ensured the dealership’s demonstrator Land Rover Defender was available and then got to work, decorating it with wedding ribbon and organising flowers for the interior.

He added: “I wanted to make sure the Bride had the car she deserved and I must have done a good job, because I was invited to the wedding.”
