THERE was an upset in division three of the Stafford Snooker League this week as leaders Derrington R relinquished their unbeaten record.
They took on mid-table Blymhill B and suffered a surprise 3-2 home defeat. Institute C are now two points down, with Rangers C, who emerged 4-1 victors over Bradley C, a further point down in third spot.
Perkins B chalked up a fifth league success, running out 4-1 winners over Blymhill D. At the bottom end of the table, Burton Manor B defeated Rangers B 3-2.
In division two, front runners Constitutional D also slipped to their first defeat of the campaign when going down 4-1 at second place Institute B who close the gap to just a point. Third place Universal N triumphed 3-2 over visiting Derrington B.
It was six wins in eight for Bradley House B as they ran out 5-0 victors at Blymhill A.
In the top flight, leaders Perkins Saints marched on, whitewashing basement side Constitutional C 5-0.
Rangers A moved second after emerging impressive 4-1 winners at Institute A, with whom they swapped places.
Woodseaves are chasing down the top three after pulling off a 4-1 home success against Universal G.
Bradley House A claimed their third win of the season when visiting Rugeley and closing the gap on the hosts to ten points with a 3-2 win. A similar score enabled Derrington A to made it six wins at Constitutional B.
