Mark Ruffalo's superhero costume problems
Mark Ruffalo felt like an "asshole" wearing a leotard while shooting 'Marvel Avengers Assemble'.
The 'Kids Are All Right' actor plays Bruce Banner/The Hulk in the forthcoming Marvel movie - alongside Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr., and Scarlett Johansson - and while he didn't mind losing weight for the role he was embarrassed wearing a small body suit.
He said: "I did a cleanse that was like hell. I lost 21 pounds and I've kept about 15 off. I quite like it - it's good to be a little trimmer.
"I felt like such an asshole wearing The Hulk's little leotard thought. When they were designing it, I was like, 'How about adding a codpiece?', 'Some ass pads?' It's not very flattering."
However, he is excited he is now playing the opposite to his usual nice guy roles.
He told Elle magazine: "They say you always play the opposite of yourself the best, so I must be b*****d! I'm interested in the people you might write off immediately, but can then be surprised by. I get that a lot about myself."
