PALOMA Faith is the latest act to announce she will be performing in Cannock Chase this summer.
The singer, who released her debut album Do You Want the Truth, or Something Beautiful in 2009, will headline the second of two dates in the annual Forestry Commission’s series of live gigs.
The album spawned hits Stone Cold Sober, Upside Down and New York and sold more than half a million copies.
Her second album Fall to Grace, released last year (2012), earned her nominations for the forthcoming Brit Awards for best album and best British female.
She said: “I’m really excited about this show. It’s going to be a great experience so I hope you will be able to join me on my woodland adventure this summer.
“I am delighted to have been nominated for these Brit awards. I don’t expect to win, but it’s so wonderful to be acknowledged for contributing something to British music. I am very proud to be British and so happy to do something I love.”
Earlier this month Blondie was unveiled as the headliner on the other Cannock Forest gig which takes place on Saturday, June 29.
Forest Live is organised by the Forestry Commission and brings music to woodland settings.
Income generated from ticket sales is spent on improving the forests for both people and wildlife.
The gigs offer everything required for a great night out, including full catering and bar facilities.
Paloma Faith plus special guests will be performing at Cannock Chase forest on Friday, June 28.
Tickets, priced £32 plus booking fee, are available at the box office on 03000 680400 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music.
