A STAFFORD women’s group is having a ball at the Tillington Hall Hotel on Saturday to support Staffordshire Women’s Aid.
Revellers are invited to don inspirational dress from the era of their choice for Stafford Ladies Circle’s Timeless Ball, and bring along donated time pieces, old watches and broken jewellery which will be recycled to raise funds for the charity.
Angela Byers, Chairperson of Stafford Ladies Circle, said “We are a women’s organisation supporting local charities by raising funds through organising social events. Our motto is to put the ‘fun’ back into fundraising.
“In particular this year we are focusing on those charities at greatest risk of losing services due to the latest cuts in government funding. We are hoping to raise much needed funds for Staffordshire Women’s Aid in order for them to continue to provide services for children and young people affected by experiencing domestic violence.
“This is particularly poignant for both charities as the Ball is being held on International Women’s Day “
