A WOMAN has died after her car was involved in a collision with a heavy goods vehicle near Blythe Bridge this morning.

The collision happened at around 8.25am on Uttoxeter Road, between Draycott and Blythe Bridge.

A Staffordshire Police spokeswoman said: “The driver of the car, a 29 year-old local woman, was taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire by ambulance but, despite the best efforts of ambulance and hospital staff, later died from her injuries.”
