SUPPORT Stafford Hospital campaigners will mark the anniversary of the day thousands of residents marched in support of Stafford Hospital.
On April 20 last year thousands walked from Market Square to Stafford Hospital in the fight to keep acute services.
It came as the Mid-Staffs Trust went into administration, leaving the future of Stafford Hospital uncertain.
In February this year the Government announced Stafford Hospital would be downgraded, although the possibility of a maternity unit still hangs in the balance. Campaigners, backed by Stafford MP Jeremy Lefroy, are calling for a consultant-led maternity unit to remain.
Now on April 19 the Support Stafford Hospital campaign, launched to fight for services in the town, will host a balloon race.
