ANGLERS braved high winds to catch plenty of fish at Seighford Lakes over the past week.

Regular angler, Tony Cliff, from the Potteries enjoyed a great day catching six fish, including a fully finned fine double weighing 12lb 8oz.

He caught the big fish on a yellow dancer, fished slow on a sink tip line off the railway pool. Other anglers caught fish up to 9lb and good blue trout to 5lb.

Slow and deep with lure were the best way to catch fish last week. White/green, black/green, humungus and wet flies proved the most successful.
