A TRADITIONAL European marketplace will take Stafford back in time in November when professional traders from all over the continent set up stall in the town centre.
Professional continental market traders wearing traditional costumes from France Belgium, Italy, Spain, Poland and many more countries will transform the market square between Thursday and Saturday November 14-16 between 9am and 5pm.
Traders will sell a variety of high quality produce including Brittany biscuits, olives, Italian nougat, delectable cheeses, sausages, tartiflette - a cheese and potatoes dish from the Alps - charcuterie, fresh bread, croissants and freshly made crepes for those with a sweeter tooth.
Alongside the food will be a wide range of other products including hand bags, leather items, Marseille soaps, lavender, children’s toys and pashminas.
Most products on sale come from each stall holder’s own region, where they are produced by small organisations, family businesses, farms and small factories using traditional methods.
